What Happened To My Battery?

Got this app just to watch the storm come over my neighborhood. For that, it worked great. But after about 5 hours, my battery was dead. I never closed the program, so after my battery was full again, I closed the program when not in use….Easy! NOT, the battery was still draining fast, I could watch the battery numbers go down. When I removed the app completely, the battery was back to normal.
